The Ghana international has struggled to cement his place among Chelsea’s starting XI since his summer arrival from Augsburg.
But following injuries to John Terry and Kurt Zouma, the 21-year-old was given the opportunity to prove himself against the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Angel di Maria on Tuesday night.
The left-back put in a strong performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League that would have left manager Guus Hiddink impressed by his display.
